Tundracode started in 2011 importing performance parts for the automotive industry. This was run for 3 years then a new focus was born.
Born out of necessity, the sus-PEN-ded stationary holder was designed to solve a typical problem of never having pens where you last left them - right there on the desk / counter and pens kept on dissapearing. So a crude system was set up with a pen tied to a line running through a fixed hook on the ceiling and then to the counterweights - a couple of nuts.
This worked really well, but the line kept "cutting into" the hooks (and in so doing created "sticky lines"). It was time to invent something that would work smoothly and serve this purpose.
And so the journey began - in pursuit of the perfect system, that would be inconspicuous , practical, strong, durable and that would be smooth in operation - continually.
In March of 2015 the prototypes were worked through and the final settled upon. This was then sent to our patenting attorneys and the strict patent registered. Then followed the design moulds and finding a cost-effective engineer to do the holder for us.
With this now behind us in March 2016 business commenced and we started manufacture and packaging. We then needed to find partners in outlet stores that would carry the stock and display in their stores. Now having our first outlets and with many more in line, sus-PEN-ded is now being sold to the the general public.
